According to the Italian website "Calcio Mercato," Cristiano has scored goals in 973 games, while Lionel Messi, star of Barcelona, is seventh with 672 goals but by only 828 games.
The Italian site pointed out that it does not surpass the Don in terms of scoring goals only the following five:
1 - Austrian Joseph (805 goals - 530 games).
2 - Brazilian Romario (772 goals - 993 games).
3 - Brazilian Pele (767 goals - 831 games).
4- Ferenc Puskas of Hungary (746 goals - 754 matches)
