FRIEDRICO VARANDAS, president of Sporting Lisbon, is considering honoring Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo, according to an Italian press report.
The newspaper "Toto Sport" Italian, that the head of Sporting Lisbon is considering putting the name of Ronaldo on the stadium of the club and the current name as "Jose Alfalade."
"It is a hypothesis to keep in mind, and we will be proud of it," the newspaper quoted the president of Lisbon as saying.
She added that the Portuguese club is considering naming the stadium as (CR7 Arena) or (Cristiano Ronaldo Stadium), pointing out that another scenario is more popular is the combination of the current name and the name of Ronaldo by calling it "CR7 José Alvalade."
Abizaid and Varandas: "Cristiano will always be one of the greatest symbols of the history of our club and proud of the name of Ronaldo, and that the name of the best player in the world is integrated with Sporting Lisbon."
"We are trying to keep it an example within the academy where young players train every day."
